Everything on our daily changing menu is made in house from scratch in our open kitchen. As well as our regular menu we offer a specific plant-based menu for vegan diners or those looking to reduce their meat consumption.
Our dishes have clean fresh flavours and are made with high quality ingredients focusing on careful preparation and simplicity. Our entire menu is 100% naturally gluten free. We will source Mexican heirloom corn from farms who hand pick, non GMO varieties. We also use specialist ingredients from Mexico such as dried chillies, limes or spices and complement this wherever possible with local ingredients which is always ethically sourced, free-range or organic.
Masa + Mezcal has been designed using natural materials and warm lighting. We have been inspired to recreate the style of interiors that we saw in Mexico with muted colours, natural wood, rough textures, terracotta and tons of plants. We aim to create spaces where people feel immediately welcome and at home.
‘Masa’ is dough made from maize or corn that is used to make the most important staples of Mexican cuisine and will provide the backbone for many dishes on our menu. This will be sourced from farms that hand-pick non-GMO heirloom varieties – better farming yields better flavour.
Our restaurant in Bristol will aim to make everything from scratch including the masa. This is done through the process of nixtamalization which has many benefits including increased flavour, aroma and added nutritional value. Our menu is 100% naturally gluten free.
Mezcal is made from roasting, fermenting, and distilling the many varieties of the agave plant. Mezcal is available straight up, in flights to help guests explore the flavour profiles such as fruit, stone, earth and smoke, or as the staple ingredient of the cocktail menu.
